This tribe exists to coordinate Progressive Christians, Moderate Christians, believers in soup-kitchens, the Christian Left, the remainders of the old Social Gospel, people who remember that the church was involved in Civil Rights, Worker Catholics, Anglo-Catholic Socialists, Mercy Sisters, Jesuits -- in short, the silent Christian majority that stands for the gospel of truth, responsibility, and love.
