Best Katrina Charity?

Rather than just sitting around bitching about how Bush screwed the pooch on this one, I want to get out my checkbook. I have given some money already to the Red Cross, but I hear persistent negative rumors about administrative costs, bureacracy, and what not.

I'd like to know whether people have fact-based opinions about good disaster relief charities to give to that are assisting in the Katrina effort.

And don't tell me to give to Operation Blessing. That's Pat Robertson's "charity"!

Also, Habitat for Humanity is immediately building homes in Jackson (and other places soon I imagine) for hurricane victims. That would be another charity to support both financially and physically if you're in the vicinity.
