Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez offered on Tuesday to help needy Americans with cheap supplies of gasoline. He wants to supply gasoline to Americans at half the price they now pay if intermediaries who "speculated ... and exploited consumers" were cut out. Read David Pace's CNN article here:

Chavez might be able to actually pull this off through Venezuela's U.S. oil subsidiary, CITGO. In any event, we should probably all be buying our gas at CITGO to stick a middle digit in Pat Robertson's (and Bush's) eye!
